Lots of good advice. Take a break. I think you are more liked here than you realize. Everyone here can be a pain in the ass from time to time. I’ve struggled, but learned to ignore what/who I don’t like. I’m sure it goes both ways with me and my posts. Don’t go for good, just take a break. Best of luck.

While I agree with Calebs Airplane, you must do what’s right for your situation. I think if forced, I would turn in a letter if they try to set up a JC meeting. I don’t agree with giving them any acknowledgement of power but if forced, I would want to go out on my terms.
On the other hand I may just ignore them and get Df’d. Either way it’s essentially the same result. I’m a little surprised it hasn’t happened yet because we aren’t hiding the fact that we are now celebrating holidays.
Good luck. Let us know how it works out.
P.S. GO BRONCOS!

Last Halloween was the first ever holiday my son and I celebrated. This Halloween will be the first holiday the whole family celebrates together. We did a little decorating. Not much but it’s a start. We will be decorating for Christmas this year too. We got most of the kids shopping done already.
Seeing the joy on my kids faces makes me happy and sad; happy they will enjoy everything that comes with child hood, sad because I see what I really missed out on as a child.
P.S. SFPW – Theocratic Seduction – Go s*it somewhere else.

Do You Think Many Engaged JW Couples Fooled Around B4 Marriage?
by minimus inwhen i was an elder, i had a few couples approach me to confess that they either played around or went all the way.. i suspect there were many more that did not admit to it, though..

Guilty
We didn't get married in the hall but I had an elder, whom I knew my whole life, do the ceremony. He pulled me aside a couple hours before and asked if we did anything to prevent us from having the wedding in the hall. The answer was yes, I told him "No".
I felt it was none of their damn business.

Did having kids make your decision to leave easier or harder?
by Comatose ini was thinking about a few things confusedandalone said the other day.
i mirrored his thinking identically.
for me it was having kids that made my decision to leave an easier one.. if i had no children, i might still be in and just going through the motions.

Easier for me. They were young. Actually, my last meeting was about 12 weeks into my wife’s 2 nd pregnancy. My son was almost 3. If they were older, pre-teen or teenagers, I imagine it would have been much harder. By then (teenage years) they would have had much stronger friendships making it harder to sever relationships. Mrs. Dazed said it was easier for her too.
When I left, I knew I couldn’t fake it any longer. I never imagined leaving the “truth” would mean loosing my wife or kids. I left before coming to this site where I read horror stories of families falling apart when one spouse left without the other.
I have overcome the, hopefully!, last obstacle in my fade / leaving – which is keeping a good relationship with my uber dub mom and sister. They know I left. They are sad about it, but so far, they are willing to keep a relationship with me as long as I don’t rub non religious things in their faces. I block them from seeing happy moments like holiday celebrations and birthdays. Their loss.

The reason behind why the ex-JW community can never match Jehovah's Witnesses' success.
by Stand for Pure Worship inan average of five kingdom halls being constructed daily, almost 8 million brothers and sisters, dissemination of bible literature in 595 languages, 111,795 congregations worldwide, distribution of 179 million bibles available in 116 languages, 239 countries where jehovah's witnesses have a presence, etc.. need i go on?.
on the other hand........... crisis of conscience, freeminds, the awaa, jw.net, ummmmmm........hmmm........idk six screens or something?
not exactly working out for you guys.

Good luck Slim. I hope this is a joke. But if not, I kind of understand - kind of.
Follow your gut. JWN will always be here to welcome you back. You can have more faith in that than in the big “A” Jehovah is supposed to bring about.
I hope you find what you need to enjoy your life to the fullest. Good luck.

The best part of field service was the ride back to the hall. I would loosen my tie while still in the car group. Once or twice the genius brother would, after my tie was undone, say "oh, I have one more call I wanna go on." Dejected, I had to retie it once more if he wanted me to go with him.
I also was usually the only brother who, when going out to lunch or dinner after meetings, service or assemblies would not wear my suit jacket or tie. (and rarely badge)
I got “counseled” TM once or twice for leaving my top button unbuttoned when I wore my tie at the meetings and in service. Looking back, I really hated most aspects of the JW experience; especially wearing the "approved" attire.
Great video!

What a nut, he'll probably be here one day... IF he wakes up. Most apologists, like I was, eventually can't swallow their own crap any longer. In time…
